Don't just click like...click LIVE! and a kick a** military care package trio!

My love for all things social media related is no secret. I am always reading, liking, blogging or tweeting! My nature is to share and I find these outlets perfect for doing so. They do have their pitfalls though. In many cases there is more "Media" and less "Social" and that has irked me a bit lately. After the death of a friend I felt like folks just clicked a like, jotted a "so sorry" and well....waited for the next news bite..... that a click on the like icon would save us all from disease or if you shared a pic surely you would prove that you loved God or were a supporter of whatever cause. I get it. We are all busy. But I thought...I need a "LIVE" button. LOL  I don't want to just like it...I want to live it! Experience it! Learn from it! I want to be sure that I am not posting or sharing to prove anything about my life........I am interacting with folks to enhance my life experience. So I wanted to share 2 recent activities where I

No Sew Curtain panels for cheap? Sheeeeeet yeah!

With my list of projects growing and the budget shrinking....a girl has to work with what she has! The guest room has been calling my name and well, it's the guest room so not exactly a priority when it comes to spending cash. I have been planning and pinning and it was time to start doing! 1st up was a new bed. I grabbed a day bed from Craigslist that included a trundle! This was a complete SCORE! With the amount of visitors we have, pulling that pop up trundle out has been a big huge help! I want the guest room to be warm and inviting. The problem......all of those little things like curtains, and pillows add $$$$ to the budget that can be off putting. Grrrr.....What's a girl t

Back to school basics! The 5 minute Bookcover

I don't know how it happened but......almost everyone I know is paper and scissor impaired. While I don't like admitting it, watching them do basic tasks causes extreme anxiety for me. LOL  Wrapping gifts? Oh no! I may start to twitch! Cutting items for school projects......Call Aunt Nicole for that! Heehee! Even my own offspring shock me with a lack of superior cutting skills! Must be a genetic defect! Alas, while I do view cutting and wrapping as "must know" skills for being properly raised...HA! Your children should not have to suffer with jacked up book coverings because you lack skills! See below for quick (less than 5 minutes per book!) and cheap (can use brown bag from grocery store...free!) fail proof method to cover books every single time! Now that deserves a double woop. WOOP! WOOP! 5 Minute Book Cover Instructions 1. I used solid craft paper rolls (red Christmas Wrap from January after Christmas Sale)    Pull off enough paper to cover book. Double
