Bangin' Bangin' Baby gift! Sushi Take Out takes the prize!

Ok so this is short and sweet.....and it's SUSHI BABY!!! Well, really, sushi for baby! OMG! I had to share this cute and easy gift idea. It's one of those things where you see it and you can't believe you have gone so long without thinking of this yourself!

This genius in a box is brought to you by Courtney Breuel!

She is such a cutie! Actually, her whole family is just a bundle of fun and great ideas! You can find her clever Pinterest boards here: http://www.pinterest.com/courtb246/

She has no idea I am sharing this, but really....how can I keep this cuteness to myself?

Her sister and I work together and when I saw the pic I had to share on the blog. Because it is so stinkin cute! Ready?

OK, seriously! Step away from the diaper cakes and up to the sushi bar! You can use wash cloths or onesies and wrap with receiving blankets. Boy or girl, choose your colors and wrap up tight. A small ziti pan with lid from the $1 store and some chopsticks from the junk drawer and you are 'ret to go!

If you are the hostess of the shower this can be your theme and you can pack your door prizes and favors in take out boxes. ENDLESS possibilities! And ....as always...the goal of the the event is to gift the recipient with as much love and as many much needed items as possible so she is sure to be ready for the new little one....so....start at the invite and tuck in this ditti........this is GAME CHANGING!! Trust me! Ready? Here ya go!:

OK....hmmmmm. who do I know that's expecting? LOL. Nothing like giving, and if you are giving.....
make if FABULOUS! Real talk!

Ok peeps....my neck and arm feel like they may be forever in pain but I think it was worth it! The family room ottoman is complete!!! Woop! Before I give you the deets......a lil background... I hate replacing things I already have! Oil changes and air filter replacements? HATE! New tires? HATE! It feels like such an investment for something you already have.....I know....gotta do it but I hate it! So after 7 years my beloved (and expensive) leather topped ottoman had started to peel. Yup. Nasty! I ignored this for a few months. Even pushed her into the corner for my annual Christmas Eve party. (Nobody puts baby in the corner!!!!) Then as it started to really bother me I started looking for a new table. Problem was.....I really like the one I have! Of course I find one that is out of this world fabulous! This baby here can be yours for $1600. Even if I hit the lottery I wouldn't pay $1600 for a coffee table. (OK, let's be serious....if I hit the lottery that scrumptious...

5 Tips for a successful holiday gift return

Ok, Christmas is over and Uncle John still thinks Tommy is 7 not 13........the footy pj's are a no go......RETURN! Rather it be the wrong size, style, or color...millions of things are going back! No receipt? Not sure where it came from? And.....well...you don't want to hurt Auntie's feeling by asking so you are gonna chance it........here are a few tips to get you ready to have the best possible outcome and experience at the same time: 1. Return now! Yep, today! I know the lines are crazy...tempers may be flaring....but retail stores are prepped and ready for returns and your best chance of a successful return are the 3-5 days immediately after the holiday. 2. Know the policy! This is easy....if you are reading this you are online so.....google the store and visit their site for exact return info. Keep in mind these policies have been in place for a while and you may not like some of these but that should be considered at the time of purchase......not at the time of re...

Experience is your best Teacher!

Every time my kids do something that raises my eyebrows or that I know is a mistake my husband will always say, "Experience will be their best teacher!" As much as I hate to agree with him, he is right. I started thinking a lot about this saying and decided to shift some of my own habits. If experience is your best teacher, well......I needed to focus on creating more of them. Now more than ever I realize the importance of spending time and doing things not just having things. This is a difficult task for me, I mean, I still count the number of gifts under the Christmas tree to make sure there is even distribution. Ha! But really, shirts shrink, and flowers fade....but the memories of a great experience last forever! Imagine my delight when I was given an Appetizing Adventure, Experience Day as a gift from my fantastic work team. It was like the universe talking to me. Oh boy! You can grab a gift for someone, like yourself here! So on the rainiest day ever (ok, maybe ...
